Dr. Stacy Burke (ND) is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario and a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in the province of Ontario.
She completed her undergraduate degree from Lakehead University, after learning in high school that 25,000 people a day die from dirty water and dirty water-related illnesses. After working in the environmental sector for a few years, Stacy realized that she was missing something. In her search to discover what that something was, she found naturopathic medicine and the rest is history.
Now she works in a profession that is interested not just in the health of people, but in the health of the planet, as one is connected and dependent on the other. Therefore, Dr. Burke (ND) challenges herself to lower her ecological footprint whenever possible by seeking products that are not only better for the environment, but for the health of herself and her patients.
One of the things she enjoys most as a Naturopathic Doctor is learning from patients. She considers it a privilege to witness people and work with them as part of a team towards their goals.
Dr. Burke (ND) believes the gut is the foundation for good health. As she frequently says to her patients, “if you build your house on a crappy foundation, everything can fall apart.” This is why optimizing gut health is an integral part of each patient’s care.
She enjoys helping patients of all ages (including pediatrics) with a variety of health concerns & goals, though she’s most passionate about mental health/stress and women’s hormones (including fertility).
